Creating blue bird art with DALL-E

This week I decided to play around with DALL-E on the StudyAid platform. I have a real love for the Eastern Blue Bird, so that was my subject in this creative endeavor. I hope you enjoy my AI art!

This was my very first image: blue bird, field, sun. I was given an ethereal, albeit overly simplistic image.

I added “Eastern blue bird” to my criteria and was given a more detailed image.

This photo has both male and female blue birds, and I asked for a “breezy field and gentle sunrise.”

For this one, I played with the settings to make the scene look more like a painting. The prompt was merely “blue birds, field, sunrise.” DALL-E gave me a scene from Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds…

This male and female couple sits on a rustic fence. The medium is oil on canvas. I didn’t ask for the berries but maybe DALL-E thought the birds might get hungry.

My last picture is a Renaissance-style watercolor. I love the colors in this one.

I think what intrigues me most about generating these images is how DALL-E fills in the background details. I did not make my prompts very specific, such as the type of fence or the color scheme, yet in some scenes there are flowers, berries, and other kinds of plant-life. I’m very curious about how the LLM makes these kinds of decisions.

This was a lot of fun! Which picture do you like best?
